CHRISTMAS

I joined all the staff of Imperial Chinese Takeaway for dinner on Christmas Eve, before making my way to London. They cooked loster, steamed fish, prawns and duck.. They take care of me and very kind to me. Thank GOD for that. After few hours of packing, i finally managed to vacate my room. However, i left my doll, Sophie and i am quite upset. I need to call the accomodation manager to keep my doll when they do the housekeeping.

I spent my Christmas in Kate and Voishim's place at Hendon Central, not forgetting 2 year-old Samuel. We had breakfast together and went to the living room to open our presents. They bought me a present as well, very kind of them. Then we hugged each other and wished each other Merry Christmas. Aww....... full of warmth..... We then prepared the food for lunch, had steamboat for lunch. Few other couples came with their kids. I was so full..... have been eating like a goldfish... piling my adipose tissue..!!! badbad.... chocolates are irresistable..... haha... i was dead tired and had an early night. First Christmas with a family.... nice =)
23rd Dec

I turned 23 on 23rd of Dec... i like the numbers... this year has been a great year for me. A lot has happened in my life and i have learnt a lot. Above all, i have experienced God's love for me and He has indeed been my best friend. It's definitely a challenging year for me. I have gained a couple of deep close friendships and met a lot of people. It was indeed a eventful year.

Birthday celebration was simple and nice. Met with PLoong, YKhuen and KMeng for lunch then they bought me a small birthday cake which was very sweet(of them, not the cake). I like blowing candles, so that's good. Then, in the evening, i cooked dinner for A, Wend and Shu. That was nice as well. Shu tried to make banofee pie for me. She cooked the condensed milk for 2 hours but it didn't turn out to be caramel at all. She was disappointed..Aww... so we had ice-cream instead. Both Shuwen and I have not watched Lord of the Rings PART ONE.. ya.. a bit outdated.... so we started watching at 1130p.m... Shu fell asleep in some of the parts. I was indeed very into it and enjoyed it the whole way through. In fact, i was so noisy, being the impatient me, i always asked Beng what would happen next.It was hard for him NOT to tell me... The pics are here
Had dim sum the next day, met up with Ai Wei... couldn't believe that we have not seen each other for a year... didn't seem to be that long since we last saw each other, because we speak to each other quite often on the phone.YKhuen invited me for dinner on Sunday night.. with Constance... Again.. hahaa had a great italian dinner.e is a good cook i must say. I wanted to go back to Southend on Sunday night but was too late and tired. Woke up at 6am on Monday and went to work from London. I felt like a zombie... dead tired...but it was a good eventfl weekend. All i need now is rest before i go for MCC. COunting down the days. It will definitely be the highlight of the year 2002.

Do not give up

I sometimes feel disappointed when i am not appreciated.Read the bible yesterday and was encouraged by it : Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. herefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people.. . Someone wrote that the world judge us by our success, but the Lord judge us by our faithfulness. I will remain faithful to those around me regardless, not by my own strength, but relying on His.

WINTER BUGs

*cough cough* i am recovering.. was down with flu last week and had 3 days off from work.. which is good... but not the flu itself... throat still sore... tried every medicine under the sky, from chinese to 'western'..i guess chinese it for mild case.. ehhe... and therefore does not work on me.. only started taking paracetamol the third day.. should have taken it earlier for symptom relief... dose myself with lots and lots of honey... which is good... each day i expected myself to be up and well but end up being asked to leave my work and rest at home.

Yes, winter is here... and its Christmas next week, so is my birthday. Most probably studying next week.. exam very near and i am not very confident .... though i only need to pass... celebrating my birthday this weekend in London... looking forward to it... have to start packing as i am vacating my room over the next three weeks... the rest of the nurses have moved out of my flat... and i am the only one staying in the flat now.. it's really really quiet... and i quite enjoy it.... solitude is good for rest...that's about it for now... will blog more when i have internet access.

The most valuable thing is not what we have, but WHO we have in our lives...
